Oceana Organic Products Ltd an Irish based company incorporated in 2003

Director and founder Dr Stefan Kraan with a PhD in marine botany, seaweed cultivation and molecular genetics. The Company is one of  European-rooted multi-species seaweed company that is globally active in the entire seaweed value chain and has unique expertise in growing and marketing seaweed-based products & concepts.

The Seaweed Consortium Purple Pvt. Ltd. an Indian Company incorporated in 2024.

Managing Director and Co-founder – Mr Hari Shankar with 15 years of experience in the algae space from microalgae cultivation to large scale cultivation of Gracilaria and Kappaphycus.

Prasmo Agri an Indian Company incorporated in 2012

Managing Director Mr Prasanna Mohan, a technocrat with an MSc in Bio-Technology from the UK and over 20 years experience and business in the marine fertiliser and bio-stimulants  and part of the Skywin group. The parent company Skywin Group is in the trade of fertilisers, micro nutrients, pesticides and bio agriculture inputs for past 35 years.

For the JV, impact comes first and we’ve anchored that in our enterprise and people’s DNA. We are proud that our efforts – as pioneer in this double-digit growth, still nascent market – have resulted in demonstrated impact that seaweed has on climate mitigation, sustainable agriculture and coastal ecosystems & communities.

Our traceable and transparent seaweed value chain is circular by nature; we are a nature and climate positive enterprise.

To accelerate execution on our mission and exponentially multiply the regenerative impact we already make today, the TSC invests in 4 key strategic priorities for exponential impact.

1. Blue Farming
Enables transition to sustainable & organic agriculture through our Bio stimulant products (Yield Win, NutriSap and Sanguis Vitae). Focus regional in Asia (targets India and Indonesia) wider area Asia (target Japan and Korea) and  in phase 3 Europe. Our ambition: make impact with 500k  Blue Farmers.
2. Sustainable Seaweed Cultivation
Scale up of traceable seaweed biomass production whilst regeneration oceans. Focus global, ambition: increase cultivation capacity in India 30 fold and create  >4,000 coastal area jobs with Lakshadweep as special area for Gracilaria cultivation.
3. Developing our Proprietary Process
To up-cycle agar into agarose (from cultivated Gracilaria) in our food grade factory in Tuticorin through a enzyme assisted “green” process and offer a market price 20% under current price (possible due to full horizontal integration from resource to finished product)
